"A tradition in
Charolais quality" |
The Laue Ranch
herdsires have been selected to complement and supplement each other
generation-upon-generation. Because our breeding program takes a long
term view, we have the luxury of sampling a variety of sire lines, from
the popular to the obscure, and distilling them to suit our needs and
those of our customers. Here are some examples from our current herdsire
lineup.
Sinatra 709 Polled

LCL Masterplan
514 set a ranch record for weaning weight in our Red/Black program.
A February 13 calf, he weighed 96 at birth and 1030 on October 8,
yielding an adjusted weaning weight of 909. His gain came entirely
on grass and milk -- there was no creep feed to him or supplement to
his dam. He is by Gus and out of an off-white Doc Joe daughter.

Male Carrier 250

Sire: Eclipse 204H -- the first purebred
Black Charolais bull in the U.S.
Dam: BBCR Just Alta 6031 -- dam of two successful herdsires for us
North American EPDs: +1.5 +27 +52 +6 +20
Male Carrier will deliver for you:
-
A very unique bull, in terms of
color, pedigree, and package
-
His dam was a sale-topping first
calf heifer. She is an outcross to all color bloodlines, tracing
entirely to the old-time Charolais greats of 4T, Michaelis, and
Litton. Incredibly, she carries 9 crosses to the legendary Sam 951.

True to his
pedigree, he moderates birth weight and frame size
